En el marco del Día Internacional de la Educación celebrado el 24 de enero, la organización Women Political Leaders (WPL) realizó actividades virtuales de visibilización de esta fecha y su relación con las desigualdades, en las que participó Rosalía Arteaga, exministra de Educación de Ecuador y presidenta de FIDAL.
Arteaga junto con Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, presidenta de Eurochild, dialogaron sobre la importancia de una educación accesible y equitativa para todos, especialmente en la inclusión de mujeres.
“Algunas familias tienen que elegir a quién enviarán a la escuela. Por lo general, eligen a los niños mientras que las niñas se quedan en casa para ayudar ", mencionó Arteaga en su alocución sobre las desigualdades de género en la educación.
